Bendigo Health is a leading regional health service that services the Loddon Mallee region in Victoria with a population of approximately 307,000. They provide health care across the entire lifespan from pre-natal and newborn babies to the aged, their families and carers and have operated in Bendigo for over 150 years.  Bendigo is one of Victoria’s fastest growing regional cities and as such the demand is growing for greater and more extensive services.

Services include emergency, maternity, women’s health, medical imaging, pathology, rehabilitation, community services, residential aged care, psychiatric care, community dental, hospice/palliative care, cardiology, cancer services and renal dialysis.

These services are provided at more than 40 locations across an area a quarter the size of Victoria including:

• A 653 bed high acuity teaching hospital
• A 60 bed rehabilitation unit

• Residential aged care facilities

The construction of a new state of the art hospital is currently underway to replace their current facilities.
