About the opportunity

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, The role is responsible for the Parts and Service Business for the Marine, Industrial and Power Generation business within WesTrac NSW/ACT.

The role includes liaising with both internal and external customers to manage WesTrac’s Commercial Engine Business. You will lead and manage customer parts and service sales business, develop marketing plans and strategies to grow the commercial engine support business.

The role also includes maximising user satisfaction and acceptance of WesTrac and Caterpillar, enticing customers to purchase Caterpillar Engines through EPSA (Energy Power Systems Australia). The position will also assist users in achieving low operating cost through recommending Product options and appropriate product support programs.

About you

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Marketing and Management or similar) with extensive post qualification experience in strategic marketing and sales management
  • Previous exposure to CRM system
  • Proven ability in delivering to budget and KPI’s
  • Experience developing and delivering a business improvement plan
  • Ability to analyse and compile reports
  • Machine Product knowledge including used equipment and component values and inventory management
  • Excellent organisational skills to achieve tight deadlines
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to build a cohesive team with common goals
  • Strong sales experience coupled with demonstrated mechanical knowledge
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven negotiating skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, peers and customers
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Excel knowledge a must)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Supportive and "can do" attitude
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment

Desirable

  • Previous sales experience within the Construction/Earthmoving or Mining industries.
  • Proven success in growing a business or business unit
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management and Warehousing
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt – Process improvement and cost savings experience or CAT production Systems
