The Lead Document Controller is responsible for the management of Regional Rail Revival (RRR) project documents and reports in accordance with V/Line’s Corporate Document Management System (CDMS).

Reporting to the Project Director and working within the Strategy & Program team, the Lead Document Controller will manage a team of Document Controllers, train and advise colleagues within RRR on document control processes and systems. You will take the lead on the review and approval of project documents, maintain the document filling system, provide internal document support including managing the presentation of documents, document formatting, proof reading and quality checking.

In addition, you will manage and maintain the RRR project document register to ensure documents meet V/Line’s defined standards, liaise with project stakeholders to ensure controlled documents are current across the project and meet compliance standards.

To be successful in your application, you must have at least 3+ years document management experience, advanced level document management system skills as well as people management experience. You will have a systematic approach to work, high level attention to detail and possess strong communication skills.

The Lead Document Controller role is a 3 year fixed term contract opportunity. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview and a national probity (police) check.
