About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Lead who either resides in Karratha or is looking to relocate to Karratha. Accommodation will be provided for the successful applicant if not local.

You will lead a specialist team to deliver safe, efficient and predictable project delivery outcomes. This will help maintain the technical integrity and reliability of a major WA gas plant.

You will provide site-based leadership to maximise HSE Excellence.

  • Active leadership and commitment towards facilitating a safe working environment
  • Implement performance measurement processes to assess performance against benchmarks
  • Deliver our promise to the customer
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Actively promote environmentally responsible work practices
  • Provide Leadership and direction across the site based Project team
  • Liaise with client and sub contractors on all aspects of HSE activities
  • Develop and review the contract's HSE performance and monitor progress of allocated resources.
  • Manage the work related and non-work related injury management process
  • Attend the drive the pre-start meetings
  • Hold daily coordination meetings with Project Team

About you

You will inspire and lead your team, draw on their diverse skills and create environments where great ideas are heard and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in a similar site-based role
  • Ability to work effectively in a team to accomplish organisational goals
  • A high level of technical skills and knowledge
  • Outstanding communication skills, including negotiating skills
  • Capacity to generate creative solutions to challenging HSE issues
  • 8-10 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as a HSE Lead/Manager
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Karratha based or looking to relocate and reside in Karratha
  • Advanced Microsoft skills and be confident with client reporting.
