Job description:

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Construction Coordinator/Superintendent (SMP) to join our team based at Karratha. You will work on diverse and exciting projects and shape the way we evolve, adapt and transform our industries. This opportunity will see you provide advice, assistance, guidance and support to the project team.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Provide constructability input into engineering and procurement contractor to ensure design is performed to facilitate construction. Highlight and remove key bottlenecks of engineering design to improve the efficiency of construction execution.
  • Facilitate solutions to engineering technical queries.
  • Focal point for Constructability reviews with E&P contractor, working with internal subject matter experts.
  • Tracking engineering change management and maintain change register in coordination with project controls team.
  • Progress measurement and coordination of engineering deliverables from E&P contractors team.
  • Prioritise production of engineering received from E&P contractor so as to facilitate internal deliverable development of estimate, schedule and Job-Cards that match the priorities of the execution team requirements.
  • Support transfer of engineering data for quality and accuracy. Ensure any engineering change is managed through the projects approved change control process.
  • Participate in re-focus sessions with all stakeholders as required.
  • Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with client, E&P contractor and internal engineering stakeholders. Support other project activities related to the administration of the sites HSE risk identification and controls systems and outputs as they evolve during the execution of the project.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Industrial background in Structural, Mechanical and Piping major project refurbishment or new installation.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering system development, deployment and administration.
  • Leading edge knowledge and expertise of construction practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the project activities.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial services organisation facilitating engineering controls.
  • Reliable, dependable, responsible, flexible, an excellent communicator, strong leadership and seasoned people management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
