UGL are looking for experienced E&I QA/QC Inspector (Night Shift) to join our joint venture with Cape to operate on the Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension program. The scope of works (amongst others) includes a large switchboard replacement project with much of the work will be conducted in a live operation plant environment.

This position is offered on a 2:2 FIFO roster (preferably from Perth, but willing to consider other capital cities for the right candidate).

As an E&I QA/QC Inspector, you’ll be responsible for providing site-based quality inspection and compliance controls. This includes leading the effective implementation of the Project Quality requirements and standards, processes and management plans across various KLE projects. The QA/QC inspector is responsible for ensuring quality is kept at the forefront of our employee’s minds, ensuring safe quality operational practices, processes, employee competency and training are in place and are being adhered to.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide the site inspection coverage across KLE projects
  • Monitor the site execution of jobcards in accordance with the UCJV KLE Quality Management Plan
  • Conduct ITP witness and hold point inspection activities
  • Provide support to the QA Advisors
  • Conduct inspection, testing and verification activities
  • Verification of competency of all craft personnel
  • Verification of all project associated inspection and testing records
  • Management of work pack closeout - Completing UCJV sign off points for punch listing, ITP and the closeout of project work packs in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all site specific and Australian standards are followed and implemented

Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this position, you must possess resource industry experience along with

  • WA Electrical License
  • Certificate IV in Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (EEHA) and Certificate IV in Instrumentation (MEM40105)
  • Ten years industry experience with knowledge of the applicable standards and regulations
  • Considerable experience in a Hazardous Area inspector role with organisational wide responsibilities
  • Knowledge and expertise of Quality management practices, standards, systems and processes
