About Role

This position reports to the TMHA’s Townsville Branch however, successful candidate must reside in or around the Cairns area as they are required to service equipment in the Cairns region including Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and beyond.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs and modifications at the Customer’s site and in accordance with the Customer’s requirements and within the Company’s guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and break-downs in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining professional level of customer service with all TMHA clients and customers
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Current Driver's licence
  • Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic)
  • Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry
  • Supply your own comprehensive personal hand tool kit.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
