This position is based at TMHA’s Moorebank site.

The Parts Team Leader position exists to direct and supervise the day to day running of the parts activity in conjunction with and in the absence of the Parts Manager.

Other key aspects of the role include: -

  • To manage and delegate all functions of the parts Dept operation and regularly report on operational matters to their respective Operations Manager in the absence of the Parts Manager.
  • To receive customer enquiries, identify the items sought and take all necessary steps to procure those items in order to satisfy the customers’ requirements in the shortest possible time.
  • To follow up on outstanding quotations in an endeavour to improve the level of customer service and to maximise sales of parts.
  • To process incoming suppliers invoices on a daily basis to enable jobs to be invoiced.
  • To follow up outstanding purchase orders.
  • To assist the Workshop and the Field Service Technicians as required.
  • To create new files in the computer on incoming Toyota and non-Toyota parts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate in Automotive Sales: Specialising in Parts Interpretation highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in assisting in or leading a team
  • A positive can do attitude, initiative, adaptable to change and willing to give anything a go.
  • It is essential the incumbent has the desire and ability to work as a member of a larger team.
  • Strong customer service experience coupled with a positive desire to perform all functions so as to achieve excellent customer service levels.
  • The incumbent must have strong verbal and written communication skills to connect and deal with customers, and staff at all levels in a professional manner.
  • A solid understanding of computer based information systems including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
  • A solid understanding of the industrial service sector particularly the materials handling industry, with particular emphasis on the technical aspects would be desirable.
