About the role

Thiess' Curragh North Coal Project is located 30km north of Blackwater in the Bowen.

Reporting to the Maintenance?Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for the safe and efficient running of day-to-day maintenance operations. The Maintenance Superintendent must assure the quality of maintenance work, so that reliable plant and equipment is available for project operations. As part of the maintenance leadership team for Curragh North, the Maintenance Superintendent provides leadership and direction to Maintenance Supervisors, ensuring alignment of maintenance objectives with production objectives.

The roster for this role is 5 days on 2 days off.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Trade Certificate/Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in a mobile mining plant maintenance environment
  • Experience supervising a site based maintenance team
  • Knowledge of job specific computer programs essential
