About the Hotel

The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel is looking for a Guest Service Agent Nights/Night Auditor to join our Front Office team.

About the role

The Guest Service Agent - Nights reports to the Night Manager and the Front Office Manager and has full responsibility for managing the night audit process including correctly posting of all hotel's revenue for the day, accurately identifying discrepancies, and producing a complete night audit report thoroughly and accurately with a genuine the focus on maximising organisational profitability and customer satisfaction. 

Duties

  • handling all after hour guest queries,
  • resolving, performing general cashier duties,
  • individual guest and group checkout,
  • foreign currency exchange,
  • accommodation and restaurant advance deposits 
  • balancing a cash float at the commencement and completion of each shift. 

Note: shift time is 11.00pm - 7.00am. Full time: 5days/week.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • minimum of 2-3 years experience in a hotel environment,
  • real passion for delivering position outcomes,
  • known for your superior analytical, communication and time management skills,
  • have an exceptional eye for detail and a positive attitude,
  • previous Opera knowledge is highly regarded,
  • proficiency in Microsoft products such as excel and outlook is essential,
  • flexibility to work as required to meet deadlines and ensure this role is effective.
