To support our success we are currently seeking a Manager, Corporate Member Communications to join the Customer Marketing team in our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office.


About the Role...

Reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering corporate member communications to engage and retain new and existing employers and their employees. You will also oversee direct marketing communications to our corporate and SME employers and advisers.


You will lead a team to success by mentoring and coaching on day to day initiatives to ensure that results are achieved and values are upheld whilst also communicating change initiatives and guiding the strategic direction of the team.


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Manage Successor Fund Transfer (SFT) and Member Consent Transfer (MCT) transitions and on-boarding communications to corporate members of new employers into Sunsuper.
  • Lead the strategic planning of customer centric communications and direct marketing to corporate members, employers and advisers ensuring they portray technical and legislative information in an engaging simple way.
  • Balance communication demands of corporate employers and internal stakeholders with internal resources to retain members and enhance existing employer and adviser relationships.
  • Provide corporate super expertise and technical support to the team, including group insurance and investments.
  • Manage the communication offering through the tender process with prospective clients.
  • Manage relevant business initiatives affecting corporate member, employer and adviser communications such as projects, legislative changes, mergers etc.
  • Lead, coach and manage the team to exceed individual and team targets.
  • Manage the relationship of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the relationship management, sales and advice teams in winning new business with direct communications and marketing.
  • Leverage customer marketing insights and industry best practice to continually assess and seek to improve an in depth understanding of customer needs to inform strategic planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of consistent positive experiences across customer segments and channels.

About You...

To ensure success you will possess:

  • Experience in Successor Fund and Member Consent Transfers.
  • Solid experience in superannuation, including group insurance and investments.
  • Prior experience or demonstrated transferable leadership qualities and coaching experience.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Commerce or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-channel communication roles in large organisations.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in strategic planning utilising data insights, ideation, direct marketing, marketing optimisation, marketing automation and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain English.
  • Strong analytical skills along with an ability to interpret data and information clearly and effectively, including Accumulation, Defined Benefit and Hybrid plan with a variety of insurance designs.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry legislation and regulation, and desire to consistently build on that specific industry and technical knowledge.
  • Proven ability to consult widely and build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects within the target markets identified, and contribute to a sales process.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence clients to achieve an outcome.
  • A deep understanding and passion for serving both corporate clients and retail customers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes.
  • Proven ability to time manage and prioritise work; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
