To support our success we are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Retail Distribution & Advice team in our Brisbane office.


About the Role...

You will play a key role in growing Sunsuper’s footprint by creating and managing a pipeline of prospective financial adviser clients. Acting as a central point of contact to third party financial advisers, you will ensure the growth of our channel of product distribution delivery by pre- positioning Sunsuper within financial adviser prospects/target markets. 


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing new business opportunities into new business by pre-positioning Sunsuper within financial adviser prospects/target markets.

  • Acting as a central point of contact to a panel of Financial Advisers that recommend Sunsuper products to their clients by providing timely information and updates relating to Sunsuper’s product range.

  • Representing Sunsuper at licensee, adviser or community events.

  • Providing advice and education via seminars to the clients of financial advisers on Sunsuper’s panel within a BDM’s scope of authority.

  • Keep up to date with industry and legislative changes and requirements.

This role is available as as 12 month fixed term opportunity due to parental leave. 


About You...

To ensure success you will possess:

  • Financial advice, knowledge and qualifications i.e. RG146 compliant to give General Advice in Superannuation and Insurance (as a minimum); and Diploma of Financial Services or equivalent.

  • Excellent presentation skills to groups and individuals, and an ability to build effective long term relationships.

  • Proven relationship management experience in super, insurance, investments and other business to business/consumer sales.

  • Proven strong business development skills that have been applied at another financial services organisation distributing their product via financial advisers.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, manage a pipeline of prospects within the target markets identified, and develop and manage a sales process.

  • Ability to influence clients to achieve an outcome.

  • A deep understanding and passion for serving the customer.
