About the role

We currently have a unique and rewarding opportunity in our Wishgranting team for a Wish Experience Coordinator to organise travel wishes that create a positive impact on the well-being of children, teens and their families. The role will be a maternity leave position for a 12 month full time contract with possibility to extend to 14 months commencing in November 2018. The role will be working from the St Leonards Starlight Office. 

The role demands a strong attention to detail with solid administrative skills.  The role will manage a high volume of wishes and requires excellent time management skills.        

Reporting to the Wishgranting Program Manager this roles main responsibilities will include –

  • Taking full responsibility for coordinating the logistics of wishes from the point of receiving a wish brief to the wish being granted, creating exceptional Starlight experiences for families
  • Thinking creatively and resourcefully to develop unique wish experiences
  • As this role will not interact directly with the wish families, the role works very closely with the family relationships team to create individual wish experiences that meet each families particular needs and interests. Continually leasing throughout the process of a wish, ensuring the wish remains on track and true to the interests of the child.
  • Managing new and existing relationships with suppliers and supporters and ensuring all organised activities with suppliers prevails
  • Creating and working within agreed budgets, whist being creatively resourceful and accurately recording and reporting on such figures

To be considered for this role you must -

  • Maintain high attention to detail to create incredible, seamless experiences for children, young people and their families
  • Be proactive and have a  love of delivering high levels of customer service at all touch points
  • Be confident when with working with important stakeholders and suppliers
  • Be intuitive & analytical in all aspects of a task

To be successful and achieve high levels of satisfaction in this role, you will need to have the ability to prioritise, handle a busy workload, excellent time management skills and outstanding attention to detail.
