The Role''s Purpose

Working closely with a variety of stakeholders the Electrical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all electrical inspection works are completed and comply with legislative regulatory and contractual requirements, through effective management of client bookings, completion of allocated jobs and other field directed duties as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician to take the next steps in their career, regardless of industry or inspection experience. To help you succeed in this role the successful applicant will be provided with three months of field training from our team of experienced inspectors and training through Tasmanian Fire Service.  

Please note, that although this is role is predomiantely field based there is a requirement to attend Toolbox meetings at our Mornington office on a monthly and ad hoc basis.  

Key Responsibilties & Duties

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with new, current internal and external customers, subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Maintain reporting systems to ensure timeliness, accuracy of all management information systems

  • Ensure the standard of all work in the field is of a high quality and in accordance with work practices and standards required

  • Maintain knowledge of, and adherence to, procedures and systems applicable to the role for compliance to statutory, customer, utility and local Government requirements.

  • Liaise with clients and their customers to appropriately manage operational and technical issues or complaints within their allocated jobs

  • Work with Operations Manager and Scheduling team to ensure that corporate objectives and financial targets are being met or exceeded.


What You''ll Bring To The Role

 To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Electrical work licence

  • Current drivers licence

  • Working at heights accreditation (desirable)

  • Construction Induction (White) Card

  • Minimum least five years industry experience as a qualified electrician

  • Ability to resolve day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement

  • Excellent communication skills to interpret the meaning of complex written, spoken and diagrammatic procedures
