About the role: 
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Data Clerk at our Wilpinjong Mine.  Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 48 kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing clerical and data entry support services for the shift supervisor. You will also comply with all site and statutory OH&S regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others including the use of site safety systems.
 
Duties would include:
  • Processing of timesheets, defect notifications and other maintenance related documents;
  • Liaising with OEM suppliers for the supply of goods and services; 
  • Kronos employee timecard management;
  • Minuting of safety and other maintenance related meetings; 
  • Filing of maintenance related documents; and,  
  • Maintenance department support tasks as allocated.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a even time, 12.5 hr rotating shift roster (including nights and weekend work) which allows for a residential lifestyle.
 
About you:
The successful candidate must be proactive team players possessing extensive clerical / administrative experience in an industrial work environment along with:
  • Passion for safety as a way of life; 
  • Ability to understand and follow company procedures and maintenance processes; 
  • High level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy; 
  • A high level of computer literacy across multiple software programs, in particular SAP and MS Office applications; 
  • Strong team player with a long-term commitment and focus to promote and enforce change; 
  • Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative, approach issues logically, to think outside the square and to provide real solutions to problems which arise; and
  • Willing and able to work an even time, 12.5 hr rotating shift roster (includes night and weekend work).
