Technical Evaluation Manager

Temporary 6 months

Total Remuneration $121,917 - $140,996 Plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

About this opportunity

You will lead a team to design and commission complex evaluations of FACS program effectiveness and efficiency in line with NSW Government best practice guidelines to improve client outcomes and inform improvements to FACS policy, program and service design. Your technical expertise of evaluation methodology will be drawn on when developing robust evaluation plans and supporting providing proactive evaluation advice to FACs policy and program staff.

 

You will also oversee the development of evidence reviews and develop evidence-based program logics to ensure FACS programs and interventions are evidence-based, focus on improving client outcomes and are evaluated using validated measures and indicators. You will report to the Director on team deliverables, lead team management, work planning, quality assurance, and professional development initiatives.

 

Experience working in government or in human services is not required. There will be opportunities for training and professional development. A Recruitment Pool may be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.

Essential Requirements

  • Post-graduate research–based qualification in social sciences, health sciences or another related discipline;

  •      substantial experience in designing and commissioning or undertaking large scale complex outcome evaluation or intervention research; 

  •       a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development;
  •       knowledge and experience in complex evaluation or research methodologies including experimental and quasi-experimental designs.
