Administration Support Officer (Rostered) – Clerk General Scale, Multiple Positions -Ongoing and Temporary Appointments for up to 2 years, Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre – Silverwater

The Department of Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It ensures offenders who are required to be held in custody are removed from the general community and placed in a safe, secure and humane environment.

About the role:

Corrective Services NSW require several Administration Support Officers to join a vibrant team.  You will be responsible for providing Administrative and Clerical support to a Correctional Centre and your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Process all Visitor Bookings and Visitors, 7 days a week.
  • Disseminate all information material throughout the  centre
  • Arrange all daily courier services, mail pick up/delivery and distribution.
  • Answer all Switchboard incoming phone calls
  • Greet Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Provide statistical information as required
  • Provide support for other disciplines in the centre
  • Attend to all miscellaneous  duties as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Current driver’s licence with willingness and ability to drive throughout NSW
