Key Application Responses

The following selection criteria form a specific part of the selection process. Candidates for this role must address each of these items specifically in their application.


  1. Trade Course Certificate and a Certificate of Proficiency, or equivalent, in Electrical Trades or Instrumentation and Control.  Post trade qualifications to a minimum of Certificate IV in Electrical - Instrumentation, or Certificate IV Instrumentation and Control, or equivalent.
  2. Relevant and current industrial experience of at least 2 years post trade.
  3. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or its successor 
    • OR Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), with the additional units listed below;
    • and one of the following:
      • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor or 
      • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

    • and one of the following:
      • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor or 
      • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools or
      • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools  See Note 1 in the Position Information for more information 

  4. Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency and commitment to quality customer services.
  6. The ability to utilise and integrate information technology in a teaching program.
