The Creative Producer Exhibitions is responsible for thecreative development, project management, delivery and evaluation of temporary, permanent and on-tour exhibitions.  The successful applicant will ensure a distinctive and inspiring exhibition program is established for the community.
Key accountabilities of this role include;
  • Develop innovative exhibition and display concepts and audience engagement approaches to creatively engage with the Library’s collections
  • Commission the production of and/or produce written and curatorial content to ensure high level product which enhances and effectively supports exhibitions.
  • Prepare detailed exhibition project briefs for exhibitions ensuring audience needs and exhibition objectives are articulated
  • Identify audiences and make recommendations for interpretive approaches and evaluate and report on the effectiveness of content in exhibitions.
  • Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary exhibition project teams ensuring development is progressed to schedule, and that key issues are addressed proactively throughout the project development process.
  • Prepare exhibition project plans, schedules and detailed costings and oversee the design of exhibitions to ensure that each project meets the identified objectives while complying with regulatory and WH&S requirements.
  • Make recommendations for improvement in procedures, policies and processes and develop, implement, monitor and review risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis and Standard Work Procedures for the planning and management of exhibitions


Essential requirements of the Creative Producer Exhibitions role include;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience deemed equivalent
  • Significant experience in the development of innovative methods of communicating exhibition content, project management of exhibitions and experience with interpretative exhibitions in a museum or gallery context.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of audience development, engagement and evaluation and high level delivery of creative programs which demonstrate innovative exhibition practice to meet audience needs.
