General Manager, Defined Benefits Assets & Liabilities

SAS Trustee Corporation otherwise known as State Super, is a Trustee for four defined benefit and defined contribution superannuation schemes whose 100,000+ members are predominantly senior NSW public servants. 

State Super continues to deliver impressive results through strategic outsourced partnerships, while retaining strategy setting in Investments and Member Engagement services.   With the aim of further enhancing outcomes for its members, State Super is deepening its investment capability through the creation of a new senior investment leadership team.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the General Manager Defined Benefit, Assets & Liabilities will work closely with NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp) to formulate and oversee delivery of investment strategies to effectively manage State Super’s $34b Defined Benefit assets and deliver State Super’s asset-liability management objectives.

In addition, the role provides leadership and management of State Super’s actuarial function and works closely with the Scheme Actuary to establish appropriate asset-liability management objectives.   

To succeed in this dynamic and challenging role you will have superior strategic and analytical capability as well as prior experience in investment management, actuarial services, consulting or strategy in a multi asset and multi-manager environment.
