We currently have an opportunity to join the team at Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre as a Senior Facility Manager. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will lead and motivate a small team to ensure the asset is presented in its optimal condition, sustainable and the highest level of safety and customer experience is achieved.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited t

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the wider facilities team

  • Ensure that the assets are managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with the statutory requirements

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including commercial tenants, retailers and joint venture owners

  • Drive and manage cleaning and security contracts

  • Maintaining the highest level of safety and customer service

  • Conduct complete site inspections and contractor audits

  • Strategically manage and deliver capital expenditure program

  • Manage the operational expenditure budgets

  • Risk and OH&S management

  • Supervise all service contractors on-site and respond to all tenant requests

  • Assist in the preparation and control of annual operating expenditure budget

In order to be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and background:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a facilities position, ideally within a Shopping Centre or property environment

  • Confident and familiar with OH&S and legislative compliance requirements

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • Technical or trade background desirable

  • Sound financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, administrative tasks, spreadsheet competency, computer literacy and excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in Capex planning and delivery

  • Management of contractors, ensuring agreed standards of service delivery are met

  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities to strategically drive and motivate your team to deliver

  • A team approach and the willingness to be flexible with duties and working hours
