Job description:

About us and our culture

MinterEllison is one of the Asia Pacific's leading law firms. Established in Sydney in 1827, our firm today operates in Australia, Hong Kong, mainland China, Mongolia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom through a network of integrated offices and associated offices.

At MinterEllison our aspiration is to be our clients’ best partner. Our large, diverse client base includes public and private companies, leading multinationals operating in the region, global financial institutions, and government and state-owned entities.

Your role

A great opportunity currently exists for a litigation Lawyer or Associate to join our Brisbane office. Working directly with our dispute resolution partners (David O'Brien, Chris Douglas, Melinda Smith, Tom Fletcher, Michael Vickery and Kathryn Finlayson) you will join a specialist team advising a range of national and international clients on complex litigation and dispute resolution matters. You will be acting for clients across a broad range of industry sectors and will see you involved in Supreme and Federal Court litigation, commercial arbitration, commissions of inquiry and mediation across a number of Australian jurisdictions.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate with solid training to be involved in a range of interesting and intellectually stimulating matters.

What you need

We welcome applications from intermediate level Lawyers with general commercial litigation experience who are looking to build their litigation experience in a first class practice.

What we offer

The Disputes Resolution team offers a collaborative and supportive team environment and market leading work. As a firm MinterEllison has a clear strategy that is focussed on driving stronger client relationships, growth, collaboration and innovation.

Our DR team can offer you genuine long term career progression. We are actively looking for talented lawyers who wants to be part of the team's growth and to build on its already excellent reputation in the market, collaborating across practice areas and across offices and working with partners who are recognised as leaders in their fields

As an employer we offer competitive top tier employment packages and a wide range of employment benefits such as a free annual gym membership and flexible work practices. Our internal support teams are second to none, and our learning and professional development programs are designed to maximise not only your legal technical expertise but also your broader skills (eg business acumen, innovation, leadership and so on) to help you build the foundation necessary to succeed as a practitioner in this ever changing market
