Draftsperson - Dual Occupancy

This is a highly rewarding but challenging role located in Mount Waverley within the busy Dual Occupancy team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Accurately using AutoCAD to prepare and complete architectural drawings within designated time frames;
  • Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon standards;
  • Produce drawings to support stages of the workflow process to reflect the customers’ requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits;
  • Ensure that relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved; and
  • Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher);
  • Drafting experience, preferably within the volume residential building industry;
  • A strong understanding of the residential home building and construction process;
  • Exposure and competent use of BCA, Rescode and AUTOCAD;
  • Experience using Revit would be an advantage;
  • The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
  • Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
