Development Manager - Town Living

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role working within the busy TownLiving Team for Metricon's medium density business.
Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Ultimate responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of TownLiving projects;
  • To work closely with the General Manager and New Business Manager in transitioning new projects from initial concept through to completion;
  • To work closely with the Operations, Building and Finance Managers to ensure all project performance KPI’s are tested, set, costed, deliverable and managed safely through to successful completion;
  • Build and maintain a professional and ongoing relationship with all development partners, clients and project stakeholders;
  • Foster the development of new relationships through industry associations; and
  • Strong focus on Sales & Marketing, Contract Administration, Financials, and Client Management.

    The successful candidate will have:
  • Tertiary qualified (Degree or Diploma qualified in a relevant discipline);
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in property development industry in project management or development management;
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in residential medium density projects;
  • Strong contract administration, sales and marketing track record;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and dealing with clients, and team members;
  • Demonstrable experience – inception to completion of residential medium density projects;
  • Demonstrable understanding of Australian Standard forms of Contracts;
  • Strong sales and marketing background / experience;
  • Computer literate – internet/email/excel/word/Microsoft Project; and
  • Knowledge and understanding in all facets of “client side” property development.
