About the role

MercyCare is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team at the West Perth office on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective, professional and value adding accounting services and support focussing on management accounting, analysis and decision support and proactive client services. As a valued member of the Finance Team this role will provide support to the Team Leader – Management Accounting on management accounting matters.

Minimum requirements

  • CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years management accounting experience in a similar role
  • Ability to prepare monthly Board financial reports to a high standard
  • Skill and experience in Decision Support and Business Partnering
  • Experience in month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience with contract/activity-based revenue recognition
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills particularly in financial analysis, modelling and supporting sound financial decision making
  • Working knowledge of legislative obligations for equal opportunity, disability services and Occupational Safety & Health and how these impact on employments and service delivery.
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
  • C-Class Driver’s Licence (preferable)
