About the role

MercyCare is seeking a permanent, part-time Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team at our Landsdale Early Learning Centre. The successful candidate will be available for hours rostered between 7am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the supervision, care and education of children and generally to assist in the operation of the Centre. The role involves assisting in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups. Further, this person will be responsible for supervising and mentoring trainees at the Centre.

Minimum requirements

  • AQF Diploma in Children’s Services
  • Experience in developing and implementing programs within an Education and Care environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in child development theoretical perspectives
  • Ability to create safe, developmentally appropriate learning environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in children’s behaviour management practices
  • Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
  • Clean C Class Drivers Licence
  • First Aid HTLAID004
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to obtain)
