We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our hospitality team at Lifeview Willow Wood, a modern, spacious residence in the suburb of Cranbourne and home to 117 residents.  The role will work closely with the Hospitality and Residential Manager.

To be considered for this role, you must hold the necessary qualifications, commercial cookery and current Food Safety Supervisor’s certificates, a current police check, together with the experience to lead a dynamic team to deliver beautifully presented and nutritional meals to the residents.

You will also ideally:

  • Have aged care experience
  • Have a working understanding of special dietary requirements
  • Cert IV in Commercial Catering and minimum 5 years in the industry in various roles
  • Experience in managing a Café will be highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Overall responsibility and management of the kitchen within the budget
  • Ensure the catering service is of a high quality that exceeds resident needs while also meeting all special dietary requirements
  • Liaising with approved suppliers to ensure efficient supply and delivery of orders
  • Demonstrated previous experience in maintaining the Food Safety Plan and all required documentation for the site
  • Experience in managing teams, rostering and recruitment
  • Ability to engage with diverse team of employees
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a fantastic relationship with residents and staff across the residence
  • Working knowledge of computers, ordering online, excel, word, e-mail as a minimum
  • Ability to work with modern kitchen equipment
  • Be able to think outside the box
