This unique opportunity based in Wollongong will appeal to a creative, proactive and solutions-oriented wordsmith who has worked in a marcomms agency or PR environment and has the versatility and experience to deliver on a range of strategic and tactical initiatives, programs and projects across all channels. Playing a key role within the sales and marketing function and reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, our new Communications and Content Officer will primarily focus on:

  • Creating, editing, proofing and delivering compelling, clear and effective content that brings to life IMB’s brand voice
  • Drive content delivery of IMB’s brand and marketing communications strategies encompassing PR, product and service marketing, direct marketing, School Banking and Financial Literacy programs and IMB’s Community Foundation
  • Creating finance related social and financial literacy content to support IMB’s social strategy and marketing programs
  • Helping to develop external customer communications across key channels and platforms
  • Managing IMB’s media contact database and reporting on company PR and media activity and providing recommendations for refinement

  Digitally savvy, highly organised and with an eye for detail, your skills and talent will be highly valued if you have:

  • Experience in writing, journalism, PR and/or advertising (tertiary qualifications highly regarded)
  • Experience in building and/or managing brand tone of voice
  • Skills in copy writing, editing and proofing to produce clear, concise and correct copy that delivers to strategy and meets stakeholder and customer requirements
  • The inclination to produce financial content with a customer experience mindset appreciating the highly regulated banking environment where content is created and produced in line with legislative, policy and procedural requirements
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a strong team focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office
