Banking Call Centre Consultant (Inbound)

An opportunity exists within our Wollongong based call centre for a Sales and Service Consultant who will love the challenge of working in a fast paced and high volume sales and customer environment. Our Consultants are the voice of our business and the first point of contact with our members, assisting with their everyday banking needs.

The role:

* Attending to inbound enquiries over the phone, handling and resolving customer requests and complaints effectively

* Identifying and converting new sales opportunities that meet member needs and achieving sales results

* Enhancing member relationships with superior customer service

* Working within policy and industry guidelines and regulations

* Collaboratively working within a team to support each other and achieve team goals and objectives.

The person:

* A genuine passion for helping people and delivering quality customer service

* Experience in a sales and service environment (preferably working with targets)

* Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

* The desire to take ownership of problems and work through them to achieve win-win outcomes

* The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a calm and structured manner

* Experience in using computers and apps with the confidence and ability to navigate between systems, with fast and accurate keyboard skills

* The personality and flexibility to work with a diverse group of people and contribute to team success.


Whilst call centre experience is not essential, it will be highly regarded. Our call centre's hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 8.00 am - 8.00 pm and Saturday 9.00 am - 4.00 pm. As such all of our staff work on a rostered basis to cover this span of hours and the successful person must be able to commit to these hours. Please note this position is contracted for a 3 month term, full time.
