Working with a small but friendly team this position will be based at our Ipswich site. It is essential you have excellent prioritisation skills, a strong ability to multitask and you hold safety as a core value.  This is a hands on role in a busy environment therefore you need to be able to work well under pressure.

About the role

  • Adherence to and ensuring that all electrical systems of the site are functioning in accordance with the site preventative maintenance plans.
  • Tag & Test all electrical equipment & systems
  • Ensure regular preventative maintenance checks
  • Apply safe work practices to all tasks
  • Diagnosis using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the issue
  • Liaise with contract production employees
  • Maintain effective communication with management and the production team

 

About you

  • Must hold a full electrical license
  • A working knowledge of automation and control systems including AC drives, motor control, PLCs & associated components
  • Proven experience in a continuous production environment
  • Experience in diagnosing breakdown issues and correcting and applying preventative methods 
  • Prior experience in preventative maintenance planning highly desirable
  • Any experience with SAP would be an advantage
  • Available to work afternoon or night shift
