Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a solid network of branches nationally, we service a multitude of customers, including mining, construction, quarry and forestry with quality equipment and after sales support.

Due to strong growth in our Melbourne region, HCA's Dandenong branch has an exciting opportunity for 2 newly appointed Field Service Fitters | Heavy Earthmoving Diesel Fitter Mechanics to join the friendly and successfully busy team.

This role will be best suited to someone who enjoys a challenging and stimulating work environment providing a range of OEM level services to our much loved customer base. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications - Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline - MR Truck License & LF Forklift Tickets would also be advantageous but are not essential.
  • Experience - Demonstrated work experience and strong technical knowledge of construction and mining equipment is essential - excavator specific diagnosis will be beneficial
  • Skillset - Heavy Diesel mechanics and fitters with Hitachi OEM equipment experience would be highly regarded
  • Safety Conscious - A strong developed awareness and commitment to personal and peer health and safety - if you have Site specific induction, please include these in support of your application.
  • Analytical thinking - Ability to navigate complex technical issues, is confident in computer literacy and has a keen eye for detail to deliver high quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively and identifying every opportunity for continuous improvement.
