Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

We are currently looking for an experienced and professional Project Manager to join our team in Muswellbrook. The main focus of this role is to provide a high level of customer support to existing Hitachi customers. You will be responsible for managing the site relationship and ensuring that all site activities are executed on time and on budget with zero harm while actively promoting Hitachi parts and service solutions.

As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high level of support and communication to key site contacts at all levels.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting in conjunction with the technical expertise to support Hitachi products.
  • Planning and scheduling work to ensure the effective utilization of resources and to also maintain contract availability and financial KPI’s.
  • Ensure all Work in Progress is tracked, managed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Implement a culture of continuous improvement in your area of responsibility
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved and in line with Hitachi specification

To be successful you will need:

  • Possess a mechanical or electrical trade background within the mining industry
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and management skills, including supervision, problem solving, budgeting, project management and development of associated systems
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be driven to provide outstanding customer support and satisfaction
  • Strong technical understanding of Hydraulic Excavators
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Be self-motivated and be able to build long term relationships
