ESS is the market leading support services division of The Compass Group. We provide multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in the oil & gas, remote mining, construction and defence sectors. The full spectrum of services offered ranges from the design and build of camp structures to total facility and security management, to operational support in catering, housekeeping, technical services, logistics, and management of third party services.

The Position

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Project Lead with extensive knowledge of support service delivery to an accommodation camp located just in the Cooper basin. The roster you will work will be 2 weeks on 1 week off, FIFO to Adelaide/Brisbane.

As the Project Lead - you will be working with the Area Manager to ensure the development and delivery of on-site services. This is a senior and critical position providing a range of onsite services - particularly relating to facility maintenance.

You will have ideally derived your experience from a similarly complex site and have strong people management skills.

Key Duties

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with our clients and local community
  • Establish, maintain and monitor quality customer service practices; always going above and beyond to ensure excellent service standards
  • Execute financial activities; forecasting, budgeting, cost control and monthly reporting
  • Lead and manage large team of approximately 200, by leading by example from the front
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment; ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to ensure a sustainable safety culture

To be successful in this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience managing a large site with knowledge of FM
  • Strong leader of people, with the ability to maintain a positive team culture
  • Experience with financial reporting and be commercial and contract focused
  • Demonstrated background of delivering profitable business results
  • Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and deliver superior service levels
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills whilst thinking on your feet
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety, a strong commitment to safety to ensure targets are safely achieved
  • Be resilient, tenacious and willing to excel in this exciting but complex position
