The Position
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Planner / Scheduler for a newly created role to support one of our remote sites. You'll be part of a team charged with providing excellent support services in labour scheduling and forecasting, to ensure that site work at optimum efficiency levels. A large part of this role will include creating a scheduling document you will also have responsibility for managing the movement of our transport department on site. This is a 3-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

Key duties

  • Roster and schedule management
  • Creating and managing all levels of planning and scheduling, development, administration, application of status and reporting.
  • Undertake core operational administrative data entry and reporting functions as required.
  • Identify basic problems in the daily plan and develop solutions or counter measures.
  • Liaise with client, project manager and transport manager and advise of problems/changes to schedules or anything outside the scope of normal business activity.

The Person

  • Previous planning/scheduling experience preferable in a construction environment
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Capacity to think outside the box, bringing new ways of doing things
  • Determination to work with business KPIs and deliver results
