The Position

Based in our McMahons Point Support office, your new role as Commercial Analyst will see you responsible for providing sound commercial support to our Senior Operations and financial leadership teams. In this role you will be responsible for leading the continued development of analytics in the portfolio by translating data into clear, concise information enabling leadership to make optimum decisions. You will also contribute towards end of month and management reporting, contractual compliance & reviews and financial analysis of relevant portfolios.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive better commercial decisions across the Business & Industry and broader CGA teams, through the use of fact-based data and insights
  • Collaboratively work with other cross-sector functions to drive improved outcomes and decisions, in particular with the Supply Chain and Productivity teams
  • Accurate & timely monthly end close process
  • Deliver easily digestible and actionable financial reporting, analysis and commentary to management to support decision-making and drive value creation
  • Planning Cycle: monthly outlook, 90-day forecast, annual budget & multi-year plan
  • Commercial Modelling and Contract Compliance including building commercial models for tenders
  • Ensure contractual price escalations and variations are implemented effectively
  • Stakeholder Management - provide commercial guidance to operational leadership to support decision-making
  • Liaise daily with other functional areas of the business including but not limited to FP&A, business development, supply chain and legal
  • Act as commercial contact for client queries

The Person

  • Finance / Accounting Degree qualified
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Sound technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage team workflow
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
