About the role


An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated individual, who enjoys variety within a challenging role. Our focus over the next few years is to develop a state of the art community hub and seniors living campus where the local community and people living on campus will have access to a range of services, facilities and social spaces - and you will be a part of that. The Aquatic Centre as part of our community hub will boast the following state-of-the-art swim facilities:25m heated lap pool, 7.5m undercover heated learn-to-swim pool and ample amenities, seating and storage.

You will manage the operations of our new commercial aquatic centre. Hence, you will be involved in marketing and promoting services provided by the Aquatic Centre to customers. You will develop, implement and maintain an industry leading program of learn-to-swim, swimming lessons, squad training and school swim programs and develop and implement swim school rosters to reflect programs. This key role will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high quality, cost effective customer services to the public and ensure sound business management practices are followed.

About you

You are a self-motivated professional with extensive experience in the aquatics industry who adapts quickly in a fast pace environment. Due to your excellent communication and customer service skills you have the capacity to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team and work effectively with numerous competing priorities. Your can do attitude enable you to be efficient and reliable, with a passion to help your team achieve positive outcomes.

Your experience and qualifications for this role include:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with an ability to inspire others;
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines;
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of a diverse range of aquatic centre operations;
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate and Austswim Accreditation or Learn to Swim Accreditation.
