The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Director Australia & New Zealand, the Connections Director is accountable for overseeing key specialist teams that focus on integrated communications, media, digital, sponsorship, events, experiential, relationship marketing and asset management. The role enables best practice evolution and transformation through leadership across marketing capability, annual planning, and marketing processes.

Leading the Connections team of over 20 specialists uniquely enables you to combine your leadership capability, functional and industry expertise, innovative and strategic mindset. But above all, it will allow you to grow personally and professionally whilst leading CUB to greater achievements.

  • Contributing as a leader within the Marketing Leadership Team
  • Development and ownership of the Consumer Connection strategy
  • Evolving and leading key specialist strategies across the Media, Consumer Digital, Sponsorship and Event portfolios
  • CUB’s annual Integrated Communications Planning and execution process
  • Marketing Services activities across Annual Planning
  • Leading major negotiations with external partners, sponsorships, media & agencies
  • Ensuring targeted and planned capability uplift across the broader Marketing team
    • Proven leadership and change management in leading a business to implement and adopt new and different approaches, with innovative thinking and a disruptive approach to all aspects of the marketing services offer
    • Strong level of curiosity, mentally agile, inventive, and comfortable with taking calculated commercial risks
    • Exceptional understanding of how market, consumer trends and value marketing services are able to have regarding Brand and Commercial Performance
    • Deep expert in Agency and Sponsorship bodies, how we work with, how we achieve best results, how we utilize them as true business partners
    • Strong leadership in digital and technology solutions for next generation value creation
    • Deep senior commercial ability in longer term strategy development, P&L understanding and analysis
