Our Lightweight Systems business consists of market leading brands such as Gyprock Plasterboard, Cemintel Fibre Cement and Himmel Interior Systems. We are a leader in providing innovative lightweight solutions across the building industry.

Our Himmel Interior Systems business offers a complete interior systems solution for the Australian Building market through our global portfolio of ceilings, walls, acoustic’s, aluminium and architectural hardware products.

The opportunity!

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and passionate sales professional to join our Adelaide team as Business Development Manager, Himmel Interior Systems based at Mawson Lakes.

The main purpose of this role is to educate, influence, generate and deliver interior systems solutions in the commercial and residential market. You will engage with a diverse target audience ranging from architects and designers, commercial builders, residential builders, contractors, project managers, re-sellers and our sales and network teams.

In order to seek out opportunities to grow our business we are looking for dynamic individuals with proven performance in:

  • Building relationships in a complex stakeholder sales engagement process.
  • Identifying and building new relationships in new customer segments and/ or channels to market.
  • Delivering sales targets and demonstrating growth across multiple portfolio categories.
  • Representing and promoting products at trade events, industry functions and consumer exhibitions.
  • Market research methods to recognise new and emerging trends in building products.
  • Monitoring of competitor activity and profiling.
  • Supporting a safety-first culture within business environments.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate

  • Previous sales and business development experience in a similar role – Ideally 3 to 5 years
  • Strong influencing skills with a flair for building relationships
  • A consultative approach with the ability to create wins for our customers and the business
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills to a wide and varied audience.
  • Energy and passion for delivering a customer centric service approach.
  • Highly intuitive and a natural curiosity to learn, understand and provide market insights to our clients.
  • Strong motivation to build sustainable wins
  • Technical aptitude! – we need you to understand how our products work!
