Position: Program Support Officer (Disaster Management)
Location: Bundaberg
Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time (Until March 2019 with possibility of extension)

Level: 4.1
• $68,958 per annum
• Plus up to 12% Council Superannuation Contribution (Local Government Conditions apply to superannuation)

Position Purpose:
To provide support to the Disaster Management Officer by implementing and maintaining systems and processes for disaster response capability. 

Selection Criteria:
1. Qualifications in disaster management (or related discipline) advantageous
2. Demonstrable experience in the field of disaster management and its practise within the local, state or federal sphere or the private sector.
3. High level knowledge of processes, practices and tools to support disaster management outcomes.
4. Experience working in an emergency response or disaster response environment, either operationally or in a supporting capacity.
5. Ability to identify training requirements and design and/or deliver training packages.
6. Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team environment to meet deadlines.
7. Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
8. C Class drivers licence
9. Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate, Council to organise (Australia wide – name only)
