Position: Outside School Hours Care Worker
Location: Childers  
Employment Type: Casual

Level:  1
• $34.89 an hour
• Plus up to 12% Council Superannuation Contribution (Local Government Conditions apply to superannuation)

Position Purpose:
To act in an educator role in the Isis Outside School Hours Care Program, Facilities and Activities in a casual capacity. The role may also include relieving in the coordinator role or assistant role. The successful applicant will also need to be available school holidays for the Vacation Care Program along with the After School Care Program.

Selection Criteria:
1. 2 year qualification or higher, in childcare, outside school hours care, education or a closely related field, or working toward such a qualification and a commitment to complete within the “prescribed finishing period”. Current First Aide Certificate and Suitability Card (Blue Card).
2. Proven Skills in communication, organisation and administration.  The ability to understand the objectives of the Outside School Hours Care Program, to carry out the duties associated with the position of Coordinator, to communicate and supervise staff.
3. Demonstrated ability to work with school age children and to program, plan and implement effective and engaging programs for this age group.
4. Knowledge and understanding of relevant governing legislation and standards. 
5. The ability to work effectively in an unsupervised capacity, with children and have an interest in their well being and development
6. Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate, Council to organise (Australia wide – name only)
