About the role:

The Head of Department (ICT) is an exciting managerial position in the Faculty of Business, IT and Applied Arts (the Faculty).

The role is responsible for course managers, teachers, business support employees and administrative staff along with Higher Education and VET programs to ensure high-quality, innovative course materials and excellent training delivery to students. Higher Education and VET courses within the Head of Department (ICT) portfolio, include but are not limited to: Cyber Security, Games Development, System Administration, Networking, Telecommunications and Software Development.

The Head of Department (ICT) is expected to grow the Cyber Security and develop strong industry partnerships.

This position is full time and will not include any teaching duties.

To be successful in this role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this role with knowledge and experience in the following areas: vocational expertise, people management, educational excellence, administrative management, continuous improvement, problem solving, client and stakeholder centricity and empathy and cultural awareness.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A minimum requirement is a relevant post-graduate degree qualification in a relevant field such as ICT or Cyber Security; and
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE41110)

You will need to provide a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia and certified copies of your qualifications.
