Shop 48 – The Harmony Centre is a community space celebrating local culture and diversity - hosting events, meeting spaces, access to support services and volunteer opportunities, located in the Bell Street Mall, Heidelberg West.

  

A Banyule City Council initiative, Shop 48 provides Community Information and Support Services to the local area. It also accommodates a range of community support organisations, seeking to have a presence in postcode 3081.

 

Banyule is looking for a customer focused Community Hub Manager to oversee all aspects of Shop 48 The Harmony Centre in Heidelberg West.  You will encourage collaborative partnerships in the sector and promote community health and wellbeing, community connectedness and enjoyment of life.

 

This position will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of a range of tenancies and services which are consistent with the changing needs of the Banyule community.

 

You will facilitate a range of programs and activities to maximise the opportunity for the community to engage meaningfully with Shop 48 the Harmony Centre and surrounds. 

 

This role is suitable for someone who is genuine and sincere with experience working with diverse key stakeholders.

 

You will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in community development, health promotion or related discipline and some relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain cooperative partnerships and networks
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in facility management and performance management of  partnership agreements
  • Demonstrated experience in project management particularly as related to facility management
  • Sound administrative and financial management skills
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, report writing and interpersonal skills
  • Anaphylaxis, CPR and First Aid, or willing to obtain.

  • Temporary full time contract commencing 31 October 2018 to 31 October 2019.
  • $83,080.81 - $90,323.79 plus super (pro-rata).
  • RDO every 4 weeks.
