Applications are invited for Ward Clerks to join the Central Allocations Unit Casual Bank, working across the Acute, Sub-Acute and Residential sites at Ballarat Health Services.

The fast paced role of the Ward Clerk provides frontline reception, clerical and administrative support to the clinical unit, program or service.   The role performs a wide range of administrative support tasks to assist and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the clinical unit / program.  Main Ward Clerk hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am-3.30pm or 2.00pm–8.00pm.  Applicants must have availability to work across both shifts.

 

Applicants need be a team player, who is empathetic and believes in a holistic approach.  Excellent computer, clerical, communication and time management skills are required.  Prior experience in a health setting would be advantageous.

Our casual bank shifts are offered within short time frames, therefore to be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region.

 

 A current employee Working with Children Check and Police Check are mandatory for this position.  A Working With Children Check is only required to be submitted if successful for the position. 


Appointment is subject to satisfactory immunisation clearance.  You are not required to have a serology report completed to apply for this position.
