Job description:

Chair - Community Advisory Committee

(Volunteer)

Ballarat Health Services has long recognised the importance of involving our patients, their families, and the wider Grampians regional community in major decisions related to planning, delivering, and evaluating our services.

Our Community Advisory Committee, which is made up of Community and Consumer Representatives and BHS staff and Board Members, ensures our major decisions and strategies for Consumer Experience and Participation take into account community views. As we prepare for 2019, Ballarat Health Services is seeking to appoint a Community Representative to the position of Chair of our Community Advisory Committee.

We are looking for someone seeking a challenging volunteer role with the experience and capacity to chair an important and progressive Ballarat Health Services Committee, strong links to our Community and a passion for Consumer Participation in healthcare.

Please include your Resume, Cover Letter and address the Key Selection Criteria.

All applications must be submitted online.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Records Check & Immunisation Clearance.

BHS is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workforce. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, mature age workers and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people.

Our Consumer Representative Program is another way we seek feedback on important plans and issues. If you would like information on becoming a committee member or consumer representative, please contact Ballarat Health Services Consumer representative Program on or via email on ConsumerReps@bhs.org.au
