About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an AMG Manager to join the team.

The AMG Manager is responsible for the management of the Bank’s troubled and impaired exposures. The role seeks best practice efficiencies whilst minimizing lending losses, and promoting a prudent risk awareness culture across the Bank

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Identify and manage turnaround, workout, remediation or exit strategies for high risk customer loans within the current legislative and banking environment
  • Being the customer contact point for various borrowing groups
  • Identification and maintenance of adequate provision levels for AMG managed loans
  • Control and maximise the recovery of troubled and impaired loans
  • Manage and complete AMG returns, submissions, registers and reports as required
  • Engagement and ongoing management of external consultants (Accountants, Lawyers, Valuers, etc)
  • Interacting professionally with both internal and external service recipients/providers
  • Manage the appointment of controllers to security properties as per agreed strategy with the aim of maximising the return to the Bank
  • Manage the Bank’s external legal recovery action and litigation with respect to troubled and impaired loans
  • Identifying personal development opportunities both within and external to the organisation through formal courses, instructional learning, seminars and conferences

To be successful in this role you will have the below skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Previous experience in Asset Management or insolvency firm;
  • Degree in business, accounting or finance related discipline (desirable)
  • Understanding of banking and general lending principles
  • Understanding of impaired asset realisation strategies
  • Understanding of key business drivers and key success factors in business
  • Specialised knowledge in corporate recovery and insolvency practices (desirable)
