Community Hearing Advisor CANBERRA and TUGGERANONG

  • 12 months fixed term full-time opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and results-focused Community Hearing Advisor to join our Community Hearing Team. Community hearing check screening events constitute the primary client acquisition channel of the Community Hearing Team, and in this role you will be supporting the CANBERRA and TUGGERANONG Hearing Centres. You will also be responsible for building brand awareness amongst local healthcare providers (such as GP practices, Aged Care facilities & Pharmacies) as well as Community Groups to enhance the understanding of the services provided by Australian Hearing.

Your business development activities will also include managing Australian Hearing Bus events, demonstrating assistive listening devices, and maintaining accurate event & customer records. You may also be required to assist with administration and face to face customer service within the Hearing Centres.


The ideal candidate will have: 

  • A strong sales and/or marketing background in healthcare or the retail industry (highly desirable)
  • Strong planning & organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Previous success in planning events to exceed targets
  • A great attitude towards learning new tasks and adapting to change
  • Resilience, and a determination to succeed
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to develop and maintain mutually rewarding relationships with our clients and stakeholders
  • A passion for exceptional customer service
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present to, and engage with, a broad range of stakeholder groups
  • A positive outlook, and the ability to see challenges as opportunities
  • A collaborative team player
  • Strong computer skills and experience with customer relationship management software
  • A current driver's licence
