Customer Service Officer BEGA


  • Permanent part time position – 3 days per week working Tuesday to Thursday
  • Perfect for someone who loves to learn and able to work autonomously
  • Experience in customer service and sales will be highly desirable
  • Attractive hourly rate plus 15.4% superannuation

We are looking for an energetic and customer focused Customer Service Officer to join our fun and high performing team. Occasional overnight travel maybe required to cover leave in other hearing centres or for training purposes. This role will report to our Hearing Centre Manager and the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Positively greet clients, attend to all counter and telephone enquiries
  • Liaising extensively with our clients, many of whom are elderly and come from multicultural & Aboriginal and Strait Islander backgrounds
  • Reception and general administration duties includes booking client appointments, processing claims, data entry, requiring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactively identify client’s need and offer professional advice on assistive listening devices
  • Minor hearing aid repairs, accurate checking and management of the repairs
  • Demonstrate the use of hearing aids and provide practice to clients
  • Liaise with Stakeholders and conduct community marketing events as required

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent customer service skills and exceptional listening skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administration and computer skills
  • Ability to prioritise whilst working in a busy environment
  • High level of problem solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • A current driver’s license and own vehicle
