About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join the Woolworths Property team on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager- Development.


The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively partner with the Woolworths Property Development Team to provide financial and commercial support across the entire development lifecycle from acquisition through to construction on site.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and maintain business decision model(s) to provide support to Development Managers for new and ongoing development projects.

  • Partner with and challenge key business stakeholders to ensure decisions are aligned with Woolworths’ Group strategy

  • Undertake risk and opportunities assessment of projects to ensure maximum value is delivered

  • Manage preparation and review of monthly Property Committee reports submitted for approval

  • Assist in cost management and tracking, and production of benchmarking information

  • Provide analytical support for specialty income and outgoings associated with development projects

  • Assist in preparation of annual capital expenditure including gross capital expenditure and disposals budgets including the preparation of monthly forecasts

  • Provide assistance in driving continuous improvement across reporting, processes and systems

  • Be involved with other projects, as they arise


About you

  • Finance degree and CA/CPA qualified (or undertaking course)

  • Previous experience within a Property Development finance role is desirable but not essential

  • 5 + years experience of property or finance experience

  • Strong business planning and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Proactive approach to business decision support
