The joint venture will deliver significant investment in manufacturing techniques new to the Australian market as well as creating new jobs in our Company.

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our large scale, state of the art, meat manufacturing facility. This role is part of  Meat Manufacturing Operations team and is responsible in driving performance of the team to deliver the Woolworths Meat Company strategic plan by creating and supporting a high performing team. With your exceptional leadership skills, you will embrace and drive positive change and build the capability within the team to create a high performing culture.

 

Flexible availabilities required Monday - Saturday which will involve some early mornings and evenings.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for your team

  • Lead and drive continuous improvement plans for your team

  • Support the development & implementation of the OH&S, Hygiene and Environmental programs for the manufacturing function

  • Delivery of the manufacturing plan ensuring team compliance to all manufacturing standards including safety, quality, GMP and cost

  • Establish effective communication mechanisms with other site support functions

 

This role is based at Woolworths Meat Company in Truganina and reports to the Operations Manager.

 

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader within a manufacturing industry or similar role

  • Experience with Regulatory Compliance and OH&S knowledge

  • High levels of commercial and business acumen

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and SAP (desirable)

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and TPM knowledge and skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Logical, analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Clear decision making skills

  • Project Management experience

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: B.Eng, B.Tech, Science or Food Discipline or similar (desirable)
