The Safety Support Manager - Facilities Management develops strong, trusted relationships with the Facilities Management team to build and implement appropriate safety strategies to ensure delivery of the Food Group Strategic Plan.


The Risk and Safety function provide the subject matter expertise on all safety related matters and coach our Facilities Management team to ensure that safety processes are understood and correctly applied. The purpose of the Safety Support - Facilities Management role is to work with the Facilities Management team to implement the safety and health strategy.


The Safety Support Manager - Facilities Management reports into the Head of Stores Risk and Safety and partners with the Facilities Management team to ensure WHS issues are always considered in business decisions and that safety standards, process and practices are implemented in line with our national framework


About You

You will have  passion for safety and a desire to coach and educate all those that you encounter to hold safety to it’s highest regard.


Desired competencies include:

  • Prior experience leading Risk and Safety or Operational teams, preferably in a highly matrixed  and complex retail or FMCG organisation
  • Functional expertise in Safety supported by a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Naturally curious with a warm and engaging leadership style
  • Proven change management experience
  • Confident coach
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to work in line with Facilities Management operations including nights and weekends where required
